At this time we only offer a Ghost Cam tune for the 2011-2015 Mustang GT and 2011-2014 V6 Mustangs equipped with both automatic and manual transmission. Ghost Cam calibrations (tunes) are available for Off-Road and Catted exhaust systems.
Some 2015-2017 V6 Mustangs are able to achieve the ghost cam effect, however, it is strategy dependent as some strategies will not have all the tables needed to be able to tune for the Ghost Cam. If your 2015-2017 V6 Mustang does not have the Ghost Cam lope when uploaded, it is because the strategy does not have these tables.
Ghost Cam tunes utilize the Twin Independent Variable Cam Timing (TiVCT) capability of the Mustang engine to make the engine sound and feel like a race prepped engine. For Ghost Cam idle to be enabled, three conditions must first be satisfied.
This is a novelty tune and can come with stalling, surging or drive-ability issues. We do not offer any revisions or datalogging to accommodate these types of drawbacks that come from this tune.
- The first condition is that 130 seconds must have elapsed since the engine coolant temperature reached 170 °F (77 °C) while the engine is running.
- The second condition is that the engine must not currently be idling (Note that it is sufficient just to rev it up in neutral or drive away once the other conditions have been met and lopey idle mode will be enabled).
- The third condition is that there must not be any detected failures of engine control related sensors or actuators. When all these conditions are met the Lopey idle activate and remain active until the next key cycle when all the conditions are checked again.
