What does Bama offer tunes for? – BAMA Performance

The Bama Performance Tunes for Life program offers support for your common bolt on items for most Mustangs. The most common parts being Cold Air Intakes, Throttle Bodies, Injectors as well as gear and tire changes coupled with the performance gains of the tune.

With new Generations of Mustangs emerging and new products coming out all the time there are cases where we will be supporting a product but have not completed our R&D to offer the mail order support at that time. If you have a new product, please check with us to see if we have support for new products coming onto the market for your vehicle.

Below is a breakdown of the Mustangs and F-150’s that we support, along with mods that we do and don’t offer mail order tuning for. Mods that we do not support may be supported by other mail order tunes or you may need to have your vehicle dyno tuned locally for those mods.

All Mustangs and F-150 Vehicles

Do not turn off emissions related codes or systems (Catalytic Converter Delete, EGR Delete, Smog Pump Delete, etc.)
Do not tune for non-Mustang or non-F-150 vehicles
Do not tune for Aftermarket Superchargers or Turbo's (Including Roush and Saleen)
Do not tune for Auto to Manual Swaps
Do not tune for Nitrous Systems
Do not tune for Methanol Systems
Do not tune for engine swaps unless they have the PCM matching the Drivetrain
Do not tune for mismatched components like GT parts on a V6 or Mustang Parts on an F-150
Do not tune Homemade CAI kits
Do not tune for Alcohol fuels (E85 supported on some vehicles), leaded fuels, nitro, rocket fuel, moonshine etc.
GhostCam tune only available for the 2011-2017 Mustang GT and the 2011-2014 Mustang V6.
All our tuning support is for the SCT devices

2011+ F-150’s

We currently only support the 3.5L EcoBoost and the 5.0L Coyote engines in the F-150 platform. For this most basic bolt-on’s are supported like a CAI’s and Exhaust.

Do not tune for non-stock intake manifolds (No Mustang manifold support or IMRC Deletes)
Do not tune for aftermarket turbos (EcoBoost Models)
Support Unleaded Race fuels
Flex-Fuel capabilities would be retained on vehicles with this, but we do not offer E85 support on the F-150’s

1987-1995 Mustangs

Do not tune for Speed Density Mustangs (MAF support only)
Do not tune for Card style MAF sensors like a 2005+ Mustang or SCT BA-5000
Do not tune for 351 based engines
Do not tune for Major Engine work (Compression Ratio Changes, Stroking)
Do not tune for Upgrades that result in poor drivability (Over aggressive cams or injector set-ups)

1996-2004 Mustangs

PI Swaps are supported
Mild Cams are supported like the Comp Cams Stage 1-3
Do not tune for Card style MAF sensors like a 2005+ Mustang or SCT BA-5000
Do not tune for E85 Fuel
Do not tune for Major Engine work (Compression Ratio Changes, Stroking)
Do not tune for Upgrades that result in poor drivability (Over aggressive cams or injector set-ups)

2005-2010 Mustangs

Support the Ford Performance Manifold and IMRC Delete’s
Support certain cams like the Hot Rods, Mutha Thumpr, Comp Cams NSR.
Do not tune for Valve Spring Required cams
Do not tune for E85 fuel
Do not tune for Major Engine work (Compression Ratio Changes, Stroking)
Do not tune for Upgrades that result in poor drivability (Over aggressive cams or injector set-ups)

2011-2014 Mustangs

Support E85 tuning for the GT’s (Requires use of higher flowing injectors)
Support the Boss Style Manifolds and Cobra Jet manifold
Do not tune for aftermarket cams or heads
Do not tune for 2018+ Manifold

2015+ Mustang

Support E85 tuning and FlexFuel for GT's (Certain set-ups may require upgraded injectors)
Support GT350 Manifold on the 2015-2017 GT’s
Do not support aftermarket cams or heads
Do not support the Boss or Cobra Jet Manifold
Do not support the 2018 Manifold on 2015-2017 GT’s
Do not support IMRC deletes or lockouts
Do not support aftermarket camshafts
Do not tune for aftermarket turbos (EcoBoost Models)
Support for larger intercoolers (EcoBoost Models)
Support for aftermarket BOV and Wastegates up to 10 PSI
